Wi-Fi & internet · 4 min read

Dead zones and dropouts are usually fixable without changing internet provider.

Try these first

  • Restart the modem: unplug it for 30 seconds
  • Move the modem out of cupboards and off the floor, somewhere central and high
  • Keep it away from microwaves, fish tanks and big mirrors

Is it the Wi-Fi or the internet?

If a laptop plugged in with a cable is also slow, the problem is your internet connection (talk to your provider). If the cable is fast but Wi-Fi is slow, it's your home network, and that's fixable.

Bigger homes

Double-storey or brick homes often need a mesh Wi-Fi system: two or three units that share one network name, giving strong signal in every room.

We test signal room by room and fix dead zones onsite.
